The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC)'s Engineering Department invites applications for the post of Deputy Engineer Mechanical and Electrical. Selected candidate will have to produce a character certificate issued by the police station concerned. Selected candidate will be appointed to relevant post of any of the BMC offices and could be transferable to any office. The appointed candidate will also have to work in shifts.

Qualifications: Degree in mechanical/electrical/production or automobile engineering from a recognized university/degree in electronics/bachelor in engineering (Electronics and Power) or a similar qualification or those who have cleared mechanical/electrical or have cleared Associate Membership Exam Part A and B in automobile engg. or have acquired a mechanical/electrical engg. degree in associate membership exam Par A and B recognized for exemption OR member of an engg. organisation whose membership, after appearing for the mechanical/electrical/automobile engg. exam has been approved by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (India) as its equal.
Essential Requirements:-
1. Candidate should have passed secondary school certificate or higher school certificate exam with Marathi (higher or lower class) as a 100 marks subject.
2. Candidate must possess a certificate from D.O.I.A.C.C. Society or C.C.C. or 'O' or 'A' or 'B' or 'C' class certificate or Maharashtra State Higher and Technical Education Board's M.S.C.I.T. or G.E.C.T. or should have passed any such certificate course conducted from time to time by the Maharashtra Govt. In case of absence of such a certificate, the selected candidate must pass the M.S.C.I.T. exam conducted by the adm. within 2 years of the date of his appointment.
3. There are different age limits for open category, backward category, handicapped, ex-servicemen, etc. There is no age limit for a candidate already serving in BMC.
How to apply: Candidate must be present on date of selection with bio data-cum-application form duly signed & with latest passport size photographs pasted and duly signed on the form. 4 copies of the same photograph must be taken for selection process. Address for correspondence should be clearly provided. BMC employees wishing to appear for the selection process should carry a no objection certificate (NOC) issued by dept. head.
